Well! Almost exactly two years ago, I wrote about “the secret things of the Lord” – and then disappeared! While there is no secret about where we’ve been and what we’ve been up to, for those who’ve been mystified: We have been working to found the Center for Redemptive Education! Creating a 501c3 to formally pursue the ministry of Redemptive Education is a joyful adventure – and we expect to officially exist within the coming school year. Pray along with us! We’ll keep you posted!
Meanwhile, part of the adventure that is Redemptive Ed is taking us to India. Later this evening, three of us (Amy, Caitlin and Erica) will board a plane to the southern part of that vast continent.
We have been invited to bring Redemptive Ed to Indian educators seeking to “do school” in a way that reflects God’s great love for children, and His tender invitation to “let the little children come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven!”
Our Indian friends will be joining us in exploring what it means to teach and learn from an approach that is Biblical, Relational, Integral and Experiential. Our US team expects to learn a lot about what BRIE looks like in this setting, and we know that it is our Indian colleagues who are the resident experts on that question!
May the Lord take this endeavor and use it to enlighten both East and West in how best to align with God’s design in teaching and learning!
